Many people associate Atlanta with a high crime risk. It’s a big city in the south with a lot of news surrounding it over the years, of the violent crimes that happen there. It has dropped in the listing of most dangerous cities to live in, over the years, however, it still remains on the list of one of the most dangerous cities at number 19. A total of 5,023 violent crimes were reported last year, and has a reported 1,120 violent crimes per 100,000. This is a high crime rate and the average remains to be high in this city despite efforts to curtail it. This is a growing city that has attracted a lot of young families and businesses, however, the growing number in population means a growing number of crimes in the city.
