Studies have found that San Bernardino has a high crime rate due to the fact that poverty levels are up. It is one of the most dangerous cities in the US with 24 murders having been reported in just a four month time. A total of 3,341 violent crimes were reported and 10,886 property crimes. In the US, at the time of the reporting, the stats read that the chances of a person becoming a victim of a violent crime was 1 in 65 for the city of San Bernardino, while the chances were much less overall in the US at 1 in 235.
