19. “The Addams Family” home

The “Addams Family” mansion was only shown on the first episode of the series and in some of the promotional materials for the show. This house seemed doomed from the beginning. It was located at 21 Chester Place in Los Angeles. The home, originally built in 1888 changed hands multiple times. It lacked the third story that execs wanted for the show so they constructed a facade and added it to the original home known as eh Newall House, that is shown below. St. Mary’s College purchased the house but had it torn down so they could build a recreational track.
