The Inside of Kid Rock’s Malibu Mansion

Kid Rock is a well-known name known in the music industry and to music fans who love Kid Rock’s genre of music that now includes, rock, rap, and even country. He’s known for his “hillbilly-rock” style of music, and “shock” lyrics, and has had his share of times being under scrutiny with the media, primarily due to relationships, including a short-lived marriage with actress and model Pamela Anderson, and run-ins with the law. Kid Rock was born Robert James Ritchie and is a native of Detroit, Michigan. His looks may be a bit grungy and rough around the edges, but to look at his mansion, you’d never know he would choose such a sophisticated and elegant as the home he owned and later sold. The mansion was purchased by Kid Rock in 2006 for $11.6 million. It is a 5-bedroom, 5-bath home that sits on just over an acre of property, and is 8,305 square feet of living space that is an open floor plan and includes ample outdoor living spaces as well. Kid Rock was able to enjoy such amenities as a full chef’s kitchen, a pool with guest house, and outdoor shower. The backyard is tranquil, and the crystal clear pool stretches out across the lush green yard. You can take refuge from the sun on the little patio with couch seating and natural covering. The master bath is rich in wood elements, from the beautiful wood planked floors to the ceiling, door frame and vanity. The large window over the bath, though open and airy, is very private and allows the natural light to stream in, as well as the most spectacular views while taking a hot soak.

This is a kitchen to die for. The wood and metal theme is stunning, and it is complemented with well with all of the natural light that streams in from the many windows around the room. Masculine yet sophisticated, it has all of the top-of-the-line equipment and amenities that any chef would approve of.

Just to the side of the kitchen bar area is a very spacious dining area with an extended wooden dining table and benches. At the far end, a beautiful fireplace warms the room with both it’s detailed design, and functionality. Steel lights hang from above and help to tie the kitchen in with the dining area and the vaulted wood ceilings keep the flow with the rest of the home’s wood theme design.

The living room is spacious and boasts wide wood plank flooring, floor-to-ceiling windows with studding red drapes, and Kid Rock’s piano and a collection of other instruments. It’s the perfect room to get a little music time in when you want to relax and get a little music time in.

If you can’t imagine Kid Rock dozing off under a sheer canopy at night, then you would be wrong. The master bedroom is as tranquil as they come. The dark wood floors and wood ceiling reflect the natural theme throughout the home. The master bed is draped with a light and airy canopy, and still, more large windows help to allow a lot of natural light, and the beauty of the outdoors into the room.

Floor-to-ceiling windows are all throughout the home. From the time you step into the home, you feel the nature from the great outdoors being pulled into the home. The high ceilings give the home a feeling of space and openness, and the decor theme is simple and elegant.

Kid Rock drew his design idea from the Bali tradition and you can find signs of the tradition all throughout the home. You will find that there is a natural wood theme throughout the entire home, from banisters to archways, ceilings, trim, floors and more. The white washed walls contrast well with the wood to help to keep the home open and bright.

At the end of a tour, or end of the day, this is the perfect place to relax and get one with nature whether it’s by spending time alone or entertaining friends and family. The back deck is spacious and boasts a large wood table, a grilling area, several lounge chairs, and lots of beautiful flowers.
