Anine Bing is a fashion brand founder, a blogger, and a former singer and model. She was born in Denmark and has Danish and Brazilian heritage, although she grew up in Sweden. She began her career in the fashion industry at the age of 15 when she became a model and has since become a successful entrepreneur in the fashion industry as a self-taught designer. In 2012, Anine Bing (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anine_Bing) founded her self-titled fashion brand and established headquarters in downtown Los Angeles, California, where she has been based since she was 21. The Anine Bing brand has become hugely successful, making Bing a multimillionaire. There are now 11 Anine Bing stores across the globe in locations including London, Paris, Sydney, Berlin, San Francisco, Miami, Manhattan, and Los Angeles. Bing has lived in various locations around the world due to her work, including London, Los Angeles, Stockholm, Hamburg, Johannesburg, and Belgium. However, it is California that she calls home. She has recently sold her former home in California to fund the purchase of an $8.6 million estate in Montecito, California.

An Overview of Anine Bing’s New $8.6 Million Property

Anine Bing and her husband, Nicolai Nielsen, previously owned a home in Los Feliz. However, they sold the property back in 2018. ‘Stranger Things’ creator Ross Duffer was the property’s buyer, and he paid $5.4 million for the Los Feliz mansion. Now, Bing and Nielsen have decided to call the seaside village of Montecito home. The couple has paid $8.6 million for the gated estate, which boasts impressive views of the Pacific Ocean from its hilltop position. Their new home officially classes as a compound, as the 5,414-square-feet mansion has a separate pool house, both of which sit on a plot of approximately one acre. The property was built in the Tuscan-style in 2007 and has undergone significant upgrades since.

Inside Bing’s Montecito Mansion

According to Dirt.com, some of the features that run throughout the property’s interior include grouted stone floors and dark wood accents. These are both features in the main living room, which also has a vaulted ceiling, a large fireplace, and four sets of French doors that fill the room with light and connect the living area to the terraces outside. Another of the property’s main living areas is the eat-in kitchen, which is adjoined to a cozy breakfast nook and a comfortable family room with a fireplace. Despite the traditional design of the kitchen cabinetry, it has high-end appliances and an exceptionally large kitchen island. Like the main living area, there are French doors leading from both the kitchen and the family room to the garden. The layout gives the option for the homeowners to converse with family or guests while preparing food. In addition to the informal eating areas in the kitchen, there is also a formal dining room with neutral walls, light stone floors, and a beamed ceiling. The dining room currently houses a six-seat dining suite, although it is large enough to house something significantly bigger. Another area on the main level where Bing and Nielsen can relax is the bar area, which has a refrigerated wine closet.

The main house has four large bedrooms and five full baths. The largest and most spectacular of the bedrooms is the master suite, which has four sets of French doors leading to a private balcony that spreads along two sides of the bedroom and offers views across the horizon and out to the Pacific Ocean. Although the bedroom is spacious, it also has a cozy feel, thanks to the large fireplace nestled between two sets of doors. In the ensuite bathroom, there is a large, freestanding soaking tub set below large windows. Therefore, Bing and Nielsen can enjoy the views from the window while soaking in the tub. As the window is to the rear of the property, there are no worries about being overlooked. The large ensuite also has a shower, a sink unit, and custom-built cabinetry in dark wood that offers plenty of storage.

The Exterior of the Hilltop Estate

A long, gated driveway extends around both sides of the house to lead to a large motor court to the rear of the property. Although there is plenty of space to park more than a dozen cars, there is also secure parking in the attached three-car garage. In the wing that houses the garage, there is also guest accommodation that includes a large guest bedroom and a full bath. However, the guest suite, which is accessed via a private staircase, is currently set up as an office. The grounds also house a huge poolhouse, which offers space for entertaining in a large room with a white-painted vaulted ceiling. There is also a convenient bathroom where people can wash after using the pool. It sits alongside the large, rectangular swimming pool, which is one of the garden’s most prominent features. The pool house also has a stone loggia, where Bing can relax in the shade after taking a dip in the pool.

Other sections of the garden include lawns, rose gardens, and areas with Hong Kong orchids, all of which are connected by meandering graveled pathways. There are also palms, mature trees, and various places to sit and enjoy the outdoors. Directly behind the property is the stone-paved terrace area, which is set up with tables and chairs for outdoor dining and entertaining. From the terrace, there are spectacular views across the surrounding area. Stone steps lead from the main terrace down to the outdoor swimming pool and poolhouse. To one side of the property, there is a further terraced area, which is partially covered. It is ideal for hot days when the homeowner prefers to sit in the shade rather than in direct sunlight. The grounds surrounding the property are lined by mature trees, which gives the property seclusion and privacy from the surrounding properties.
