Former NBA star, Shaquille O’Neal’s spectacular SoCal home sits on 1 acre in the gated community of Bell Canyon, approximately 35 miles outside of Los Angeles. The Sprawling 5,217 sq. ft. contemporary styled home was built in 1990 and purchased by O’Neal for $1,815,00 in 2018. Since he purchased the home, he’s made a number of improvements and upgrades. According to, Realtor, he’s updated the plumbing, installed a new HVAC unit, and updated the garage door. He’s also improved many of the indoor decor elements, like new carpets throughout, new custom closets, and the inside got fresh new paint. The five-bedroom, 4 1/2 bathroom home was designed as an open floor plan. The spacious rooms flow with ease, each one as beautiful and eloquent as the next. And if you’re looking for luxurious architectural and decor details, it’s got all of that, too. Shortly after O’Neal purchased the home and finished the remodel, he surprised some, by listing the home for $2.5M, and cause speculation he may have purchased it as a “flip” project. The two-story foyer is stunning and uniquely designed with its rounded walls and curved second-story banister. NBC News describes the black and white decor theme, and it’s eye-catching. White marble flooring, white walls and white ceiling off-set the black staircase and railing, and hints of black in the decor items used throughout the room, such as the black entry table with glass table-top, and the circular glass and black table set in the middle of the room.
Kitchen
The beautifully designed chef’s kitchen boasts double stainless steel ovens, marble counter tops, marble flooring, and elongated island with ample storage and sink plus modernly designed bar-style stools for a casual meal at the bar. Gray and white subway tiles makeup the stylish backsplash behind the stove and range hood. You’ve gotta love the white cabinetry with steel hardware! A beautiful breakfast nook sits at the far end of the room where you get to eat with a view.

Master bedroom
On the second floor is where you’ll find the spacious master bedroom that boasts high, vaulted ceilings, neutral colored carpet and neutral colored walls. The room is warm and cozy with the decor theme alone, but on those chilly nights, you can really warm things up by lighting the fireplace that’s just opposite of the bed and side tables.
