British Heiress Spends $29.4 Million in Beverley Hills
Jordana Reuben Yechiel is an heiress who was born in England in 1979. She is part of the UK’s second-richest family, as her father is real estate billionaire David Reuben. Her father and uncle are business partners who each have a net worth of $7.7 billion, says Forbes . The Reuben brothers are reportedly Russia’s biggest foreign investors, although they are involved in luxury developments in various locations worldwide. They are based in London, so a lot of their business activity takes place there, including the conversion of the Grade I-listed Cambridge House into a five-star boutique hotel. Their business also takes them to the United States, as they have several ongoing projects. One of which is the redevelopment of the Century Plaza site in Los Angeles, for which they allegedly paid $2.5 billion. As a businesswoman and an heiress, Yechiel is a wealthy woman. She is also married to a wealthy man, Hezi Yechiel, who is the director of a textiles company. The couple chooses to spend some of their wealth on real estate in both the UK and the United States. They have recently bought a Beverley Hills estate for $29.4 million, which is significantly less than the original asking price. Here is a look at Yechiel’s real estate activities and an overview of her new Beverley Hills home.
Yechiel’s Real Estate Activities
Despite her wealth, Jordana Reuben Yechiel has a history of buying properties at hugely discounted prices. Towards the end of 2020, she bought a mansion in the guard-gated Beverley Park community from Kimora Lee Simmons. Although she paid $15.3 million for the estate, which is a lot of money in anybody’s books, the price was almost $10 million less than the price paid by Simmons four years ago. Just weeks later, she bought herself another Beverley Hills estate. Once again, Yechiel secured the property at a whopping discount. The house was first listed in 2017 for $58.9 million. As she has paid just $29.4 million for the house and grounds, Yechiel paid less than half the original asking price. Records show that the home was officially bought by a company of which Hezi Yechiel is the manager.
An Overview of the Property
Yechiel’s new Beverley Hills home sits on a double-wide lot measuring 1.68-acres. The European-style mansion was built in 1998 by Alan Casden, and it measures 26,800-square-feet internally. It boasts eight bedrooms and an impressive 15 bathrooms. The house has undergone various custom upgrades over the years.
Inside Her Palatial Beverley Hills Mansion
Unlike many Beverley Hills mansions that have predominantly white interiors to suit the tastes of modern wealthy people, the interior style of Yechien’s new home is opulent with many rich and vibrant colors. The foyer is one of the most understated rooms on the property, yet it still has stunning features. It boasts cream-tiled walls, a stone staircase with wrought iron balustrades, and parquet flooring. The parquet hardwood floors are a feature that continues into the great room, although these are partially covered by large, antique rugs. The great room has large windows with banquette seating into the bays and a humungous fireplace. In this room, there are zoned areas for dining, living, and reading. Several pairs of French doors lead out of this room to the rear terrace. Other interesting rooms on the ground floor are the movie theater and the library.
The movie theater has 13 leather, reclining armchairs, so it is a great place for Yechiel and her husband to hang out with friends. The cinema screen is set into an alcove, and the room has a fireplace to give it a cozy and homely feel. The double-height library, which has floor-to-ceiling bookcases, and is overlooked by a second-floor balcony. Although the room is decorated with dark wood and deep orange walls, it does not look too dark and dingy, thanks to French doors that lead out to the terrace and a second-floor window. Another interesting room on the lower floor is the billiards room, which has the potential for various other uses. Although the house has plenty of bedrooms to accommodate a large family or multiple guests, the most noteworthy is the master suite, which is larger than most ordinary people’s homes. The master suite measures a whopping 5,000-square-feet and boasts dual bathrooms and closets.
The Grounds of the Stunning Estate
As the mansion sits on 1.68-acres of grounds, there is plenty of outdoor space for Jordana Reuben Yechiel and her husband to enjoy. One of the most unusual features is the model train that runs throughout the grounds, says Dirt.com. A less unusual feature, although impressive nonetheless, is the swimming pool, as this is a standard for multi-million-dollar homes in Beverley Hills. The huge outdoor pool has one side covered in rocks with a waterfall feature, and there are paving and palm trees surrounding the pool. Between the pool and the house is a terraced area with palm trees. Yechiel can access the terrace via several of the rooms on the property’s ground floor. The paved terrace is set up for outdoor dining and entertaining. Beyond the pool, stone steps lead to a second terrace area that is lined by trees and offers an additional option for dining or entertaining.
A further feature of the grounds is a full-size tennis court, which has a raised viewing platform. The rest of the grounds are predominantly manicured lawns, with interesting stone features, such as a pavilion. Mature trees surround the garden, offering the residents some privacy. The grounds also boast two guesthouses. Therefore, Yechiel can invite family and friends to stay without worrying about them invading her privacy in the main house. Both guesthouses sit at the far end of the rear garden. There is also an expansive garage that can accommodate up to 16 cars. Additional parking is available on the paved motor court and the gated driveway to the property’s front.
