In ‘Superintelligence,’ Bobby Cannavale’s character’s home is in the Queen Anne neighborhood of Seattle. However, the house used for filming was a charming Craftsman property in Midtown Atlanta, Georgia. Despite its location in the Peach State, the property has a look typically found in Pacific Northwest locations. At one point in the film, there is an aerial view of George’s house. However, the location shown in the aerial view is of Nob Hill Avenue North in Seattle. In reality, the location of the house used for filming is along Vedado Way NE in Midtown Atlanta. Both the interior and the exterior of the 1920 property appear in the film. Therefore, viewers can see not only the charming exterior of the house but also the pretty interior décor of the home. The current owner of the house bought the property in August 2019. Records show that they paid $1.135 million for the house.
The Exterior of the Atlanta Property
From the outside, the property is pretty and quaint. There are lawns, shrubs, and flowers to either side of the stone path and steps leading to the front of the house, where there is a covered, pillared porch with a swing. The outside has wood paneling painted dark gray, and there are white accents on the pillars, door, and window frames. This house has a gray shingle roof, two chimneys, and a protruding dormer window at the roof’s center. The house sits in a 0.17-acre lot. To the rear of the property, there is a stone patio that winds through the shrubbery in the enclosed garden. There is also a decking area with trellising, where the homeowner can dine outside or simply sit and enjoy their surroundings. The rear garden is surrounded by mature trees, so the exterior of the property has a sense of privacy.
Inside the Property
Although the property looks quaint from the outside, the inside measures 2,865-square-feet, says Dirt.com. The 1920 property was renovated in 1995, and this involved restoring some of the original features while also updating the house. Throughout the property, there is wooden pine flooring. Other appealing features of the property include large windows, floor-to-ceiling bookcases, three fireplaces, high ceilings, and an unusual two-story dining room. There are two living rooms in this house. The first is a light and bright space due to the dual aspect windows. It is also cozy, thanks to the fireplace. The second sitting room is used as a family room, and it has custom-built floor-to-ceiling bookcases.
While the kitchen has country-style white and gray cabinetry, it is also a modern and sophisticated space, as it is one of the areas that underwent extensive renovation. There is a dark marble countertop over the bottom units and a stainless steel countertop over the island. The kitchen boasts high-end stainless steel appliances, including an in-built oven and grill. One end of the kitchen is open to a sunroom, which has floor-to-ceiling windows on three sides and double doors leading out to the decking area in the rear garden. Not only does this flood the kitchen with light, but it also means that the homeowner can enjoy views across the garden while they are cooking. There are three bedrooms and 2.5-bathrooms in this Georgia property, and the master suite is on the upper level of the house. The master suite is reached by heading up the stairs to a landing with sloped ceilings, white walls, and small alcoves for additional storage.
In the master bedroom, the chimney stack has its brickwork painted, and this is an interesting feature of the room. The flooring in the bedroom is dark wood, unlike the pine flooring throughout the lower floor of the house. It has the same sloping ceilings as the landing area. There are small windows on three walls of the bedroom, as well as a window from the landing that throws light across the room. The light and bright feeling in the bedroom are further enhanced by the white painted ceilings and walls.
