Check out Bruce Willis’s $13 Million New York Estate

It’s “Diehard” with a $13M vengeance and if you’re one of those people (like me) who thinks that “Diehard” is the best Christmas movie ever made, then you might be interested in the fact that Bruce Willis’ house is on the market for a cool $13,000,000. Yes, that’s right, $13M. It’s located in Westchester County, which is in Upstate New York. Oh and BTW, it’s not just a home but an estate! So, what makes it worth such a high price? Well, here you go:

Location, Location, Location

The Bruce Willis Estate is located in the beautiful Bedford Corners community. It’s a picturesque high-end community that actually has more private schools than public schools. So, potential buyers with kids will be happy to know that there are eight private schools, two private Catholic schools, one public high school, one public middle school, and five public elementary schools. In addition, the entire neighborhood is filled with high-end homes with beautifully manicured yards. Interestingly enough, however, surrounding properties aren’t even worth half of what the Bruce Willis Estate is listed for. Hopefully, potential buyers won’t be looking at the comps! But then again, those other properties probably can’t compare to this estate in size, opulence, and acreage. Last but not least, the beautiful Bruce Willis Estate is just a mere 40 miles from midtown Manhattan, so it’s a property firmly situated for truly pleasing even the most discerning potential buyers. It’s the perfect combination of country life that’s still close to the city.

Major Square Footage

This massive 12 bedroom, 9 bath (+3 half baths) estate covers a total 13,791 square foot just in the many homes on the property alone. Yes, this luxurious estate in Bedford Corners is made up of a total of four houses. The main property is, of course, gated as well as beautifully landscaped. It contains the sophisticated five-bedroom, 8958 square foot Main House. The lower level is completely finished (no un-finished basements here) and measures 2,130 square feet plus a patio, saltwater pool, pool house, vegetable garden, and a tennis court that’s in need of resurfacing. /Guess Bruce didn’t play much tennis. It also has an attached two-car garage with plenty of storage above it. In addition, there’s an additional detached two-car garage with more overhead storage. On the second lot, there’s a three-bedroom antique farmhouse that has been completely updated and sports 3,166 square feet. And, if that’s not enough, there’ also another three-bedroom house that’s 1,007 square feet plus an additional one-bedroom house that has 660 square feet with a three-car garage below.

Acreage for Miles

The house sits on a massive lot that’s actually 22.60 acres in size. In pricey upstate NY, that’s worth the price of admission all by itself. The surrounding woods and precise landscaping add to the beauty of this estate. This is a beautiful part of the country and a very welcoming small cozy community.

Rooms With a View

The Bruce Willis Estate also offers panoramic Croton Reservoir views capable of taking your breath away. In addition, they seem to go on forever. According to the floorplan, that amazing view is visible from the 40′ by 23′ living room with wood-burning fireplace, the 21′ by 21′ library, and the 27′ by 24′ eat-in kitchen for starters. And, that’s just the main floor of the main house, which offers an expansive open floorplan. The kitchen has a huge center island with stools for seating, a stacked-stone double-sided fireplace that goes thru to the dining room, solid surface countertops, top-of-the-line appliances and windows accompanies by french doors that bring the outside in. The living areas have beautiful gleaming hardwood floors, plenty of well-made built-ins, and more fireplaces for added warmth. And, the entry is breathtaking with its soaring open-beam wood-clad ceiling and formal staircase. It’s so welcoming while also being opulent and jaw-dropping as well!

Star-Power

This is definitely an estate that’s truly fitting of a big star like Willis, whose films include the entire “Diehard” franchise, “Unbreakable”, and “The Sixth Sense” as well as “Armageddon”, just to name a few. He’s probably best-known for the “Diehard” movies but his work extends way beyond just that particular part. He’s a well-respected actor, not just a movie star, and that says a lot in today’s film biz.
