Check Out Ashley Tisdale’s $5.7 Million Los Angeles Home

Back in 2019, High School Musical star Ashley Tisdale splashed out $4.1 million on a home in the exclusive Los Feliz area of Los Angeles. Just over a year and a half later, she’s relisted the property for the notably higher price of $5.8 million. It’s not the first time Tisdale has made a mint with real estate. Back in 2017, she bought a home in the starry Hollywood Hills for $2.66 million. Just 2 years later, she sold it for $3.6 million to indie singer Ingrid Michaelson. Whether she’ll scoop the full asking price this time around is a waiting game. But if the stunning photographs that accompany the listing are anything to go by, she won’t struggle to find a buyer. If you’ve ever wanted to see what kind of place the rich and famous call home, find out now as we check out Ashley Tisdale’s L.A. home.

The Neighborhood

Even in a city of stars, few of LA’s neighborhoods attract quite so many celebs as glitzy Los Feliz. Nestled in the foothills of Griffith Park, the area is renowned for its laid back lifestyle, its glamourous 1920s era homes, and its bevy of upscale restaurants and health centers. Over the years, it’s attracted legions of Hollywood’s most famous faces, including Kristen Bell, Jon Hamm, Colin Farrell, James Cameron, Katie Perry, and Angelina Jolie. As you’d expect, property here doesn’t come cheap. According to doorsteps.com (www.doorsteps.com/articles/celebrities-who-live-in-los-angeles-broken-down-by-neighborhood), even a simple one bedroom rental in Los Feliz will set you back around $2095 per month.

If Tisdale’s history in real estate is anything to go by, the new buyer will fit into the star-studded vibe of the neighborhood perfectly. Almost all of her previous properties have been sold to people in showbusiness. Back in 2016, she sold her Studio City home to Haylie Duff for the grand sum of $2.7 million. Last year, she sold her Hollywood Hill’s residence – which she bought from Emmy nominated TV director Craig Zisk in 2017 for nearly $2.66 – to indie singer Ingrid Michaelson for close to $3.6 million.

The Overview

Even if it was in a less salubrious neighborhood than Los Feliz, Tisdale’s house would still be a show stopper. Covering more than 4200 square feet, the villa sits on a fortified one-third of an acre that provides gorgeous views over the surrounding landscape. Like many of the homes in the area, the villa, which dates back to 1923, boasts a pan-Mediterranean style. Along with the main residence’s four-bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms, a separate two-story guest house adds another 1 bedroom, 1.5 bathrooms, and a kitchenette to the mix. A detached two-car garage provides plenty of off-street parking for Tisdale and her guests.

The Interior

The villa was extensively renovated and upgraded before Tisdale moved in. Designer flourishes and contemporary finishes now sit side by side with a gorgeous array of original architectural features and period details. European oak floors run throughout, creating a harmonious flow that only serves to make the already spacious property seem even larger. As dirt.com writes, the ceilings in several of the main floor’s rooms are covered. The walls have been treated with a lime wash that’s resulted in a suede-like patina. As you enter the property, the striking patterned wallpaper of the central hall foyer immediately sets the tone for the rest of the interior.

The Living Quarters

Leading away from the central foyer is a large, light-filled living room. Anchoring one wall of the room is a huge, regal looking fireplace that’s been painted the same dark greenish-grey as the walls and ceiling of the dining room. The dining room itself is one part drama and one part cozy informality. A long wooden table set with rustic wooden chairs runs the length of the room. A statement lighting fixture overhangs the table, while a chrome bar cart adds a hit of retro chic. A spacious family room provides a comfortable space for rest and relaxation. The sculpted walls have been painted a soft putty grey, which complements the cozy vibe of the room perfectly. The kitchen has been styled around an upscale country theme. Dark grouted white subway tiles run the length and breadth of the walls. A cozy dining space in the kitchen features a raised fireplace along with steel trimmed glass doors that spill out onto the backyard.

The Bedrooms

The property houses 4 bedrooms, all of which have been decorated with the same painstaking attention to detail as the rest of the house. Although each bedroom is exquisite, the star attraction is the master bedroom, which opens out onto a spacious terrace sporting stunning views over the city. The black and white awning protecting the terrace guarantees all-year-round appeal. Scattered between the bedrooms on the upper level are 2 and a half bathrooms, all of which have been styled around a contemporary vintage theme complete with white marble floors and upscale fittings.

The Exterior

If the interior of the property wasn’t enough to convince prospective buyers to invest, the outside definitely will. As per the Daily Mail, a black-and-white striped awning partly covers a huge dining and lounging deck outside the kitchen and dining room, creating the perfect spot for al fresco dining and entertaining. An arched entrance leads to a rectangular pool that’s surrounded by simple wooden loungers and eye-popping tropical plantings. Lush foliage acts as a useful privacy screen. Tucked away just above the pool is a two-story guest house. Along with providing a private area for friends and family to enjoy, the guest house also boasts a recording studio.
