Yo Gotti Drops $7.6 Million on Westlake Village Mansion
As a successful rapper, songwriter, and record producer, Yo Gotti has got the cash in the bank to live the luxury lifestyle that only the rich and famous can achieve. He has recently used his money to splash out on a stunning mansion in Westlake Village that has set him back $7.6 million. Yo Gotti, whose real name is Mario Sentell Giden Mims, began his career in the music industry in 1996, and his fame grew throughout the 2000s. As an artist, Yo Gotti has released ten studio albums, 22 mixtapes, and 47 singles. He has also featured on 21 singles released by other artists and has released five promotional singles. His work as a rapper is not the only reason why Yo Gotti has become a wealthy man, as he is also the founder of the record label Collective Music Group. His record label has signed many successful artists, such as Blac Youngsta, 42 Dugg, and Moneybagg Yo. Yo Gotti’s professional success has put him in a financial situation where he can afford to take his pick of homes, and the one he has chosen is in Westlake Village, California. According to Celebrity Net Worth, the rapper’s new home is more like a five-star Hawaiian hotel than a personal residence. Here is a more detailed look at Yo Gotti’s new house.
An Overview of the Westlake Village Estate
The new home that Yo Gotti has splashed out on is in a guard-gated community within the Westlake Village Enclave in California. It is an area popular with celebrities. Yo Gotti’s new neighbors will include NFL star Cooper Kupp, YouTube star Trisha Paytas, WWE legend The Miz, actress Heather Locklear, and Disney CEO Bob Chapek. Bruce Kantner, a former CFO of the media company Westwood One, and his wife Marina had the property custom-built for them in 1999. After more than two decades of living at the house, they have now decided to sell. Although the property was listed for $7.5 million, Yo Gotti has paid $100,000 above the asking price, which indicates that either the rapper was keen to secure the deal quickly or that there was strong competition for the property. The stunning Mediterranean-style mansion measures 10,110-square-feet inside, and it sits on a lot measuring three acres. It boasts multiple public spaces, six bedrooms, and eight bathrooms.
Inside Yo Gotti’s New Residence
A huge entranceway has wood-beamed ceilings and a skylight to fill the space below with light. The entranceway and the corridor beyond are lined with arches and doorways leading to various public spaces. A large opening from the foyer leads directly through to a great room that is zoned into different areas. Central to the room is a large skylight, under which is an informal sitting area that overlooks the rear garden through the double folding doors. To one side of the great room is an informal dining area with the dining suite set into a bay window with views of the gardens. At the other side of the room is the formal sitting area, which has arched windows that also overlook the grounds and the fairway. An interesting feature of the living room is a custom-built bar area set into the alcove of the bay window.
There is also a formal dining area in a separate room, with large leaded windows, wooden flooring, a coved ceiling, and a neutral color scheme. Overhanging the eight-seater dining suite is a large candelabra. In the kitchen, there is a traditional country-style with wooden cabinetry and beige granite countertops. At the center of the kitchen is an island with matching cabinetry and countertops, above which there are pans and utensils hanging. To one side of the kitchen is an armchair next to an open inglenook fireplace and another informal dining area. Although the kitchen has a very traditional appearance, there are also modern features throughout the room. For example, there are inset ceiling spotlights, a modern tiled floor, and high-end stainless steel appliances.
A bonus room at this single-story house is currently being used as a games room with a snooker table. However, the room’s generous size and features, such as the wooden floor and stone fireplace, mean that Yo Gotti can choose to use this room in a different way if he wishes. There are six bedrooms, all of which have ensuite bathrooms. The master suite is an opulent room with a wood-paneled ceiling, a large stone fireplace facing the bed, and a sitting area next to the bay window. In the master ensuite, there is another large stone fireplace opposite dual sinks in a decorative vanity unit. There is also a large soaking tub that sits below the window.
The Grounds of the $7.6 Million Mansion
Yo Gotti’s new home is set on three acres of grounds that are shielded from neighbors and people passing the house by mature trees. Its elevated position overlooks a golf course with a manmade lake. There is a large, stone-paved terrace area at the property’s rear that is staggered over different levels. The terrace has various dining, lounging, and entertaining areas, and it is dotted with palm trees. Steps lead down from the terrace to the outdoor infinity-edged swimming pool that offers views across the golf course. The garden drops dramatically at the far side of the L-shaped swimming pool, and the slope is covered with colorful flowers. Dirt.com says there is also a reflective pool in the backyard. Another leisure area in the garden is a full-sized tennis court. Next to the tennis court, a dedicated children’s playground features fun-shaped topiaries, vegetable planters, and a playset with a climbing frame, swings, and a slide. The rest of the grounds are divided into areas of rose gardens, formal topiary gardens, and secluded sitting areas. Stone fountains are dotted around the grounds as interesting features.
