Justyn Howard Pays $30 Million for Calabasas Mansion

Justyn Howard is the co-founder of Sprout Social, a social media management company based in Chicago, Illinois. The startup has grown substantially from its humble beginnings. After becoming a publically traded company, stock prices rose from almost seventeen dollars a share to over a hundred. Additionally, over the last year, the company’s net worth has tripled. With success like this, it’s easy to see why Howard would purchase another property, especially one in his home state of California. Aside from setting records with his company, he’s also setting real estate records. His property is double the priciest house in the area. Previously, Khloe Kardashian held this record. Later she sold the home to Dhar Mann, an entrepreneur, and filmmaker. Howard’s purchased another property he’s purchased in the state. Last year, he bought a 20 million dollar property that sits on 13 acres in the foothills of Malibu. Where the Malibu property has 10,000 square feet, the Calabasas property has 22,000. Aside from the main residence, there is also a guest house.

Mansion Overview

Howard purchased the property with his wife Elizabeth for 30 million dollars, almost 10 million less than his initial offering, located in the gated community called Estates at the Oaks. Mike Palumbo is the interior designer hired by development partners Jonathan Menu and Meir Siboni of Elite IMG, the parent company of Estates on the Oaks. According to Dirt, Tomer Fridman, who works with Compass, worked with Branden and Rayni Williams of The Beverly Hills Estates on the listing. Justyn and Elizabeth Howard received assistance from Damon Skelton at Compass. Throughout the house, Palumbo chose matte grey walls, which help to highlight the architectural features. Each of the three levels is exceptionally modern. The house itself is only a year old, and Howard is the first owner. The grey walls are the only part of the house that’s understated. Palumbo chose them specifically to highlight modern art pieces and other built-ins created by Italian Dewsingners like Minotti and Fendi Casa.

Throughout the pandemic, many people struggle to get to the gym. In Howard’s house, he has a full gym, including a protein shake bar. The gym has several different exercise machines that face a mirrored wall with a large flat screen tv that sits over modern wood cabinetry. Compliment the contemporary feel of the house are several black, and white abstract paintings are hanging on the opposite wall. Instead of glaring lights, you might expect to see at the gym; it has muted lighting with a handful of bulbs overhead. Even though many people hear wine cellar and think of a dusty subterranean area below the house, it couldn’t be further from what’s in this mansion. Instead of woodsy and atmospheric, two significant cases can hold quite a few wine bottles, running parallel. The floor is white marble. One interesting feature of the wine cellar is that it opens onto one of the outdoor spaces allowing quick access to a comfortable evening with a vintage year.Even though there are several living rooms to watch a show, the house also includes a small movie theater.

There are three rows of couches, each with soundproof walls and theatre lighting. Much like other parts of the house, it is a modern take on a classic cinema. The color scheme in the room is muted greys and blacks with several dark wood accents. Another space in the house is a game room. The room has one small wood-paneled wall but otherwise is open. There is an elevated table against one wall with several modern bar stools. The pool table is the central feature which features glass legs giving it the illusion it’s floating, sitting on a grey rug that helps draw attention to the modern aesthetic. Hanging above the pool table are two lights that have a futuristic vibe. Aside from the game room, there is a second bar which is cozier. Both main walls are wood-paneled, and one has several rust-colored couches. Above the sofas is a modern painting that features a bright blues and red design with gold details. The couches face a grey marble bar. Behind the bar are a flat-screen tv and a cube shelf which will hold a large variety of top-shelf liquors.

Outdoors and Other Features

The outside of the house is just as impressive as the inside. The deck features an infinity pool with an outdoor cabana which houses another bar with a flat-screen TV. Near the collection is a sunken fire pit with another tv so you can enjoy the outdoors without missing your favorite show. At another corner of the house is a small putting green. Additionally, there is a basketball court half the size of a regulation court. Aside from the amenities the house offers, there is also an impressive home off. The overall aesthetic of the house is not as modern as the rest of the house. Two floor-to-ceiling windows look into the backyard. Between the two windows is a shelving unit that doubles as an open display case. On each side of the room are two built-in shelves, each with a modern glass desk that stands in front. The These are some of the highlights of this impressive home. Each of the fourteen rooms offers opulence which certainly merits the 30 million dollar price tag. The house is known as Prado De La Felicidad which means meadow of happiness in Spanish. Famous neighbors include Travis Barker, Morphe Cosmetics founders Chris and Linda Tawil, and Michael Jackson’s mother, Katherine Jackson. As Howard’s career and success with his company continue, it will be interesting to see what other real estate purchases he makes. Chances are it won’t be as impressive as his 30 million dollar San Fernando purchase. However, Justyn Howard seems to have an eye for impressive real estate purchases.
