Guillermo del Toro’s Former Agoura Hills Home
Guillermo del Toro may not be a name that’s at the top of your mind, but you may recognize some of this Mexican director’s films, like Hellboy, Pacific Rim, or his Academy Award-winning film, The Shape of Water. The director first hit the big screen in 1993 with his film, Cronos, and from there, he has steadily made a name for himself in the film industry, and so much, that he was able to afford himself one of the most elite homes and lots in his neighborhood in Agoura Hills, which he first purchased for $1.6 million in 2010, and recently sold for $2.1. That’s not too shabby of a return on this exquisite 1985 mansion that sits on a beautiful lot at the end of a cul-de-sac in the neighborhood. The 5700 square foot home is loaded with elegant features, inside and out, starting with the spectacular courtyard that’s surrounded by meticulously landscaped gardens on either side, and a sparkling blue swimming pool and spa.
Inside, some of the most stunning features include, an elegant grand foyer, a large kitchen decked out in classy elements, fireplaces in multiple rooms, a grand piano in the formal living room, a spacious master bedroom, large enough for a large bed and a cozy fireplace, and large master bath with an elegant tub situated near a window with gorgeous views.
