Check Out Birdman’s Former $11 Million Miami Beach Mansion
Bryan Williams, better known as Birdman, is a rapper, record executive, and entrepreneur. Along with his brother, Ronald ‘Slim’ Williams, he is the co-founder of Cash Money Records. In addition to his career as a solo artist, Birdman is also one-half of the hip-hop duo ‘Big Tymers’ with Mannie Fresh. Birdman began his career in 1990 and his since experienced professional and financial success, which has allowed him to spend money on huge and luxurious properties. However, he has also faced controversy, legal issues, and financial problems. It is the latter that led to Birdman (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Birdman_(rapper)) selling his breathtaking Miami Beach home this year for a sale price of just under $11 million,
The Sale History of the Property
Birdman’s former Miami home once belonged to Scott Storch, a party boy and fallen music industry hitmaker. Storch sold the property for $7 million in 2010 to Russ Weiner, the Rockstar energy drink brand’s co-founder. In 2012, Birdman bought the property for $14.5 million. Unfortunately, due to his financial difficulties, Birdman was forced to put the property on the market in 2017. However, the unrealistic and overly ambitious price tag of $20 million meant there was a lack of interest in the property. Birdman was forced to significantly reduce the price several times until it was listed for just $13 million. Eventually, the property has sold for just under $11 million, which is a significant loss when set against the $14.5 million Birdman paid for the pad. The buyer is Teddy Truchot, an entrepreneur and investor. He is the co-founder of BlackDivine, a venture capital and Internet company. The move is an upgrade for Truchot, who has sold his waterfront Miami Beach property for $7 million earlier in 2020.
An Overview of the Property
Birdman’s former property is a palatial mansion on Palm Island in Miami Beach, Florida. The stunning home was built in 2004 and measures a whopping 19,970-square-feet, including seven bedrooms and 11 bathrooms. The luxurious pad sits on the waterfront, so there are fabulous views from both within the property and the grounds.
Inside Birdman’s Former Home
The grandiose of the property is evident as soon as you set through the front door, as you step straight into the humungous grand entrance, which sets a high standard that you will find is matched in the rest of the house. There are glistening marble floors, above which hangs an eye-catching chandelier. A double staircase leads from the grand entrance hall to the bedrooms and bathrooms on the second floor. The staircase’s banisters are wrought-iron, just like the banisters that separate the other rooms on the ground floor from the hallway and the balcony-style banisters along the first-floor. There is so much space in the grand entrance that it even has enough room for multiple settees.
Through from the entrance hall is a large room that combines a family room and a games room. It is a wonderful, informal space for the homeowner to hang out with their friends and family. The family room has a striking black and white-tiled floor. It is a vast space that is filled with light, thanks to the large windows and the glass doors leading out to the gardens. One end of the room has an informal seating area that is arranged to give the best viewing angle of the wall-mounted, flat-screen television. There are a full-sized snooker table and an onyx bar in the games area of the room. Behind the bar, there is a second flat-screen television.
The chef’s kitchen is just as impressive as the rest of the house’s lower floor, and it is another vast space. The white cabinetry is immaculate, and the gray marble countertops add a luxurious touch. As you would expect in a house of this standard, the kitchen boasts top-of-the-range appliances, says Dirt.com. A marble-topped island with a sink sits in the center of the kitchen, and it provides additional storage space. A spiral staircase connects the kitchen to the second floor, and this is an alternative way of accessing the bedrooms. There are seven double bedrooms in this property. The substantial master suite has patterned tiled floors and dual aspect windows. It also has doors leading onto a private balcony, which is the perfect spot for admiring the views of the ocean and the surrounding area. The master suite also has a vast ensuite bathroom, with two double sinks, a double shower, and an impressive sunken bathtub.
A Great Pad for Leisure and Entertainment
Birdman’s former home is a true play and party pad. In addition to the family and games room with a bar, there are also many other spaces within the home that offer leisure and entertainment opportunities. For example, there is a large home theatre with 12 leather, reclining seats where the homeowner can watch a film with their friends and family. There are also two wine cellars on the lower level, so they can stock up ready for entertaining at dinner parties.
The Exterior of the Miami Beach Property
Leading to the front of the house, there is a broad, paved pathway in a Mediterranean style that is lined with shrubs and partially covered by a portico supported by pillars. The property’s exterior is cream stucco, and pillars and balconies feature on all floors of the property. To the exterior of the property, there is a sand volleyball court where the homeowner can have some fun with friends and family. However, the grounds’ most impressive features are the two outdoor pools, one of which has a jacuzzi area. The garden leads to the water’s edge, and palm trees give the outdoor space a tropical feel. Other notable features are the four-car garage and the private dock. Furthermore, Palm Island residents have access to basketball and tennis courts, and they benefit from around-the-clock security.
