Channing Tatum Buys $5.6 Million Brentwood Farmhouse

Actor, producer, and dancer Channing Tatum began his career in 2000, although he did not make his film debut until 2005 when he was in the drama film ‘Coach Carter.’ A year later, he appeared in the dance film ‘Step Up,’ which is considered his career breakthrough as he became known to a wider audience. Tatum is also known for playing the leading role in the movie ‘Magic mike’ and the film’s sequel, ‘Magic Mike 2.’ Other films for which he is known are ’21 Jump Street,’ ’22 Jump Street,’ ‘Dear John,’ ‘G.I. Joe: The Rise of the Cobra,’ ‘G.I. Joe: Retaliation,’ ‘She’s the Man,’ ‘Logan Lucky,’ ‘The Vow,’ and many more. In his personal life, Channing Tatum married actress Jenna Dewan in 2009. They have one daughter, who was born in 2013. The couple separated in 2018, then divorced the following year. After separating from Dewan, Tatum began dating British singer Jessie J. According to Celebrity Net Worth, Channing Tatum’s net worth is $80 million, and his wealth puts him in a position to buy multimillion-dollar houses in prestigious locations. He has recently paid $5.6 million for a mid-century farmhouse in Brentwood, Los Angeles. Here is a look at his new home.

Tatum’s Purchase of a Home in Brentwood

Along with his ex-wife, Tatum still owns his marital home, which is a house in the mountains above Beverly Hills, for which the former couple paid $6 million. Despite still owning the property together, Tatum and Dewan have both now decided to buy their own properties. While Dewan has splashed out $4.7 million for a mansion in Encino, Tatum has opted for a property in Brentwood, and he has paid $5.6 million for his new home. Tatum’s home was not on the open market at the time of the sale. His new home sits in a secluded location in Mandeville Canyon in Brentwood, Los Angeles. The 3,300-square-foot property sits on a lot of 0.91-acres. Between the main house and its guesthouse, there are three bedrooms and three bathrooms. Unlike many homes in Los Angeles that claim to be farmhouses but are really just modern houses built in a farmhouse style, Tatum’s new home is an authentic farmhouse. The two-story house was built from mostly stone  and wood in the early 1950s.

Inside Channing Tatum’s New Pad

According to Dirt.com, the interior of the property has lots of exposed, unvarnished wood, which adds to the authenticity of the farmhouse feel inside the house. Through the glass-paneled double front doors is the entranceway, which has floor-to-ceiling glass paneling along one wall and a large window on another wall. The pressure-washed red brick flooring of the double-height entryway also gives the home a rustic feel. In the family room, there is a massive brick and stone fireplace that is the dominant feature of the room. Both the walls and the vaulted ceiling are wood-paneled. A second living room has double doors leading out to the garden and a wood-paneled ceiling. The downstairs also has a full bathroom, an unusual feature of which is the doors, which are painted mint green. There is a rustic feel to the kitchen, which makes this property different from the contemporary style found in many Los Angeles homes. The cabinetry is rough-finished wood, and the light fittings are utilitarian. There are windows on three walls of the kitchen, and a door leads out to the terrace.

Unusually, the kitchen does not have an island, although a free-standing unit serves a similar purpose. The free-standing unit also provides a division between the kitchen and the dining area. The dining area has a large window overlooking the garden. At one end of the dining room is a small seating area. Both the kitchen and the dining room have wooden flooring. The property’s upper level has a loft-like design, and it is accessed via a wooden staircase from the entranceway. Upstairs, there is a spare bedroom and the master bedroom. The spare bedroom has white-painted, wood-paneled walls. In the master bedroom, there is a skylight, and doors lead out to a private balcony overlooking the garden. There is also an ensuite bathroom, which features a skylight and a soaking tub. Although the house has only one spare bedroom, there is further accommodation available in the guesthouse on the grounds. The one-bedroom, one-bathroom guesthouse is ideal for Tatum to have people to stay without them invading his privacy in the main house.

The Grounds of Tatum’s Residence

Tatum’s residence is invisible from the street, as it is set behind foliage and tall gates. The foliage at the front and the mature trees to the property rear give the residence a secluded feel and offer Tatum privacy. At the front, there is a driveway that cuts through the trees to a small motor court. Most of the grounds, which are just under one acre, are to the property’s rear. Due to the hillside position of the house, there are steps leading from the motor court at the front to the staggered gardens at the side and back of the house. Directly behind the house, a brick-paved terrace area is currently set up with a rustic wooden table and eight chairs for alfresco dining. Due to the terrace’s position between the house and the guesthouse, and because there are mature trees surrounding the property, the terrace sits in the shade. Beyond the brick-paved terrace, there is a grassy area and steps leading to a stone-paved terrace for lounging. The second terrace is next to a lagoon-style pool, which is surrounded by rocks and has a grotto-style water feature at one end. Stone steps lead down through the trees into another section of the garden. From this area, steps lead up to a basketball court that Tatum can enjoy in his free time.
