The Villa Bedroom
After a long day outside, guests can retire to the comfy guest bedroom that includes a king-size bed covered with opulent linens and topped with a canopy. The wooden floors found in the bathroom continue in here, as does the thatched wood roof and American pine walls. American pine was also used by DM Dominicana to create the armchair and table. More floor-to-ceiling windows allow guests views of the pool area, which is also easily accessed by either the wooden or glass sliding door.
The Main Living Room
It’s time to look inside the main house, starting with the living room, where a variety of custom furnishings made by local craftsmen, along with Balinese and Indonesian accessories constructed from sapele, mahogany, and teak, take center stage. Although the room seems a bit small for a 10,000 sq. ft. house, it is beautiful. The wooden ceiling beams appear to match the hardwood floors below and the shutters covering the floor-to-ceiling windows and folding doors that can be opened to let the outdoor breeze in. The multiple couches and chaise are all covered with Sunbrella fabric cushions. One of the most interesting parts of the room is the kidney-shaped cocktail table made from rainforest wood and topped with a colorful bouquet of fresh flowers.
