Craig Robinson is an actor, comedian, singer, and musician who began his career in entertainment in 1991. He is probably best known for playing Doug Judy on ‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’ and Darryl Philbin on ‘The Office.’ However, he is also known for his many collaborations with Seth Rogen. These have included ‘Sausage Party,’ ‘Pineapple Express,’ ‘This is the End,’ and ‘Zack and Miri Make a Porno.’ Robinson has also had multiple film roles. Some of his best-known movies are ‘Morris from America,’ ‘Dolemite Is My Name,’ and ‘Hot Tub Time Machine.’ Most recently, he appeared in ‘Timmy Failure: Mistakes Were Made’ and ‘Songbird,’ the latter of which is in post-production. The award-winning actor has recently bought a Los Angeles home for $2.6 million. Here is a look at Craig Robinson’s impressive new pad.
An Overview of Craig Robinson’s New Home
The six-bedroomed, six-bathroom residence is in the Los Angeles suburb of Tarzana in California, and it measures 4,639-square-feet. It is a new-build property that was completed earlier in 2020 by a local developer, so everything about the house is brand new. The single-level nonagonal structure has a contemporary design, and the interior space offers open-plan living. From the outside, the property has white walls and an oversized flat roof. It sold to Christian Robinson for $2.6 million.
Inside the Tarzana Property
Most of the living area in Craig Robinson’s new Los Angeles home is open plan, says Dirt.com. At the front entrance, there is a small vestibule, and this leads through to the home’s main living room, the focal point of which is a large fireplace with a black marble surround set against a striking black wall. The living room also has a huge window that floods the room with light. From the living room, there is a vast hall, which has enough space to accommodate both a formal dining space and an informal dining space. In the dining hall, there is a glass-enclosed wine closet. The temperature-controlled wine closet can store up to 182 bottles of wine. An eight-seater dining suite is set against a light gray, paneled wall.
Leading on from the dining hall is the contemporary kitchen, which features high-end stainless steel appliances. There is white cabinetry, and the countertops are black marble. An unusual element of the kitchen is the purple track lights. To the center of the kitchen, there is a marble-topped island that houses the kitchen’s second sink and provides an additional informal dining space for two people. A large window runs almost the full width of the kitchen above the sink and countertops, and this overlooks the garden. A snug provides additional living space, and this is enclosed and separate from the open-plan living space. The snug has a wooden floor, recessed spotlights, and light gray walls. A large, flat-screen television is mounted on one wall, another has shelving and cabinets for storage, and a third has a large window looking out to one of the patios.
Possibly the most impressive room in the house is the master suite. The expansive bedroom has folding glass doors that lead directly out to a patio and outdoor dining space next to the pool. There is a huge bed central to the room, which is painted light gray and has recessed ceiling lights and a wooden floor. The master suite also has a stunning ensuite bathroom and a walk-in closet. In the master ensuite, there is a marble floor and a black marble wall with a window looking out onto the courtyard. The other walls are painted the same light gray as the bedroom. There are two soaking tubs, black cabinetry, and a contemporary sink. In the master suite walk-in closet, there is custom-built shelving and storage.
The Exterior of Robinson’s Los Angeles Pad
At the front of the property, there is a large double gate that opens up to a wide driveway that leads directly to the garages and then curves towards the property’s front door. The front of the house also has mature trees and shrubs. To the rear of the property, there is a large garden that was designed with easy maintenance in mind. Many of the areas are paved, and there are sections of replica grass. The decision to use fake grass is perfect for the arid California climate, so the garden looks well-maintained throughout the year. There are paved patios dotted around the garden, and these are the ideal spots to enjoy some alfresco dining and to soak up the rays. In addition to the dining areas on the patios, there is also a marble-topped bar with bar stools for casual dining. Behind the bar, there is a large barbecue.
Next to the house, there is a separate building on the grounds, which is built in the same contemporary style as the main property and boasts white walls and a slanted flat roof. The building is a modern home office, so the homeowner can work from home but in a dedicated workspace. There are windows on three walls of the home office, so the office is filled with light, and it is possible to enjoy the surroundings while working. Inside the home office, there is a tiled floor, and one wall has horizontal wood paneling. The garden’s most impressive feature is the irregular-shaped outdoor swimming pool, which boasts an inset circular spa. There are also changing facilities close to the pool. At the far end of the garden, a cabana sits in a shaded part of the garden and overlooks a putting green. There is a three-car garage attached to the main property, so there is plenty of secure parking for Robinson and his guests. Further space for parking is available at the front of the house. The house is surrounded by pine trees that offer privacy, and the house is also secure as the entire property is walled and gated.
