Marc Anthony’s Casa de Campo Resort in the Dominican Republic
Whether you are a longtime fan of Marc Anthony or know him better as Jennifer Lopez’s ex, you may be shocked to learn just how much he makes and how much real estate he owns. Apparently, the singer/songwriter/ music and TV producer/ humanitarian makes around $1.25 million a month and owns several luxury condos and mansions all over the world, including a luxury compound in Casa de Campo, Dominican Republic. Pretty fitting for the top selling tropical salsa artist of all time, right?
The Story Behind Marc’s Home
Marc purchased the original house and pool in 2013 and immediately went to work making dramatic changes and buying up adjacent lots in an effort to create a gorgeous compound he could share with his future wife, Shannon de Lima. The two actually married there the following year, but have since divorced, leaving Marc to share the 10,000 sq. ft. main residence, multiple guest bungalows, variety of pavilions, swimming pools, manmade beach, outdoor movie theater, and array of outdoor lounge and entertainment areas with his five children. In case you are wondering, Marc has not divulged how much he paid for the property or how much was spent on all the renovations that went into it.
To create the tropical home of Marc’s dreams, he enlisted famed Dominican architect, Dino Barré of DM Dominicana. Dino also happened to design the home already sitting on the property. The results were so amazing that Marc, along with his then-wife, Shannon, felt the need to invite Architectural Digest in for a look at the stunning property. Now, it’s your turn to take a glimpse of the property Marc calls “the ultimate retreat,” where he can relax with his family and friends.
