Check Out Frank Sinatra’s $9.5 Million Malibu Home Now Owned by Mindy Kaling

At 40 years of age, Mindy Kaling is best known for her role as Kelly Kapoor on The Office, but that’s not the only role she played when it came to the long-running sitcom. She’s also had her hand in writing, directing and producing the show, and this talented and very funny actor is reaping the benefits of having been a part of such a popular show. She recently just purchased the late Frank Sinatra home for $9.5 million, according to House Beautiful, and it’s simply stunning. The waterfront home boasts 7 bedrooms and 9 bathrooms and offers 5,824 feet of living space. The features and amenities are unending, from vaulted ceilings, an indoor/outdoor bar, multiple sitting areas (formal and informal), a private swimming pool and terrace, to a hair salon and elevator that boasts leopard printed walls, this home is designed for entertaining – which it has seen its share of when the Sinatra’s owned the place. Kitchen

The kitchen is simple and elegant and fully loaded with all the amenities for cooking up a storm and entertaining all your guests. Stainless steel appliances and dual sinks are just a few of the beautiful touches. Glass shelving in front of the windows allows for displaying favorite dishware and other collectibles, and with the nice sized island, you aren’t short of counter space for preparing large meals.

Master bedroom

This is no ordinary master bedroom. Not only do you have amazing views from inside the room with the floor-to-ceiling window, but two sets of doors that lead to your private terrace to get the fresh ocean air with the view. Aside the gorgeous views to wake up to, according to Sacbee.com, the room is furnished with a fireplace, beautiful built-in bookshelves and cabinets, and a master bath, make that two bathrooms for the master suite, and a hair salon for those days when you want your hair stylist to meet you at your place.

Balcony view

If you can get this view just outside your bedroom, who wouldn’t want to see this every day? This beautiful scenery of the ocean, and the sun rising and setting at the water’s edge, it’s all so stunning, and you can sit and enjoy it anytime on your private balcony. There’s nothing more serene than to fall asleep, or wake up to the sound of rolling waves just outside your bedroom.

Casual sitting or media room

This casual sitting area is loaded with beachy tones, from the large, neutral toned tiles to the animal prints on the sofa and chairs. Light colors surround you in this room, from the light colors on the walls, built-in cabinetry and shelves, to the wooden planked ceiling. A few darker accents are added to give some contrast to the softer tones and really warm the room, making a comfortable space to kick back and watch a little TV or your favorite movie on the flat screen.

Formal living room

The formal sitting area with the zebra print rug and stunning built-ins and fireplace, is the perfect set-up for relaxing and entertaining because just behind, is the glass wall that opens to allow a seamless flow between the spaces for indoor/outdoor entertainment. Just outside, beyond the glass wall, is a barbecue and outdoor kitchen area, making it easy to keep both indoor and outdoor guests served-up well.

Courtyard and pool and spa

According to Mansionglobal.com, the private patio is not only equipped with a beautiful pool, but there’s a spa adjacent to the stunning pool, as well. It’s just the right size for hanging out with friends and family, especially on the days you prefer to take a dip in the pool rather than making your way down to the ocean water. Beautiful tiles and lush foliage surround the pool making it a simple, yet elegant place to relax.

Back patio

It’s almost too perfect to be real. The beautiful sunset over the water off in the distance, the mature foliage and perfectly manicured lawn that creates a stunning walkway to the water, it is something out of a magazine, and this is the view Kaling can have at any given time. Here is the perfect place to start, or end the day with this view and a cold drink or your favorite cocktail, relaxing in the comfortable loungers and taking in the amazing views all around. I wouldn’t be surprised if this view alone, was a big reason she decided to purchase the home.
