Check Out Blake Griffin’s New $5.9 Million Mansion
Blake Griffin is a professional basketball player in the NBA who began his professional career in the sport in 2009. He played for the Los Angeles Clippers from 2009 to 2018 and currently plays for the Detroit Pistons. He has enjoyed phenomenal success in his career, as he is a six-time NBA All-Star and a five-time All-NBA Selection. Griffin has also made money from endorsing brands, including Panini America. He has also ventured into acting, as he appeared in episodes of ‘Broad City’ and ‘The Female Brain.’ There are now plans for Blake Griffin to host and present a hidden camera reality show called ‘Double Cross with Blake Griffin.’ In his personal life, Blake Griffin (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blake_Griffin) was engaged to Brynn Cameron, who is the sister of football player Jordan Cameron, although they are no longer together. Griffin and Cameron have a son and a daughter together. Griffin’s professional success as a sportsman has made him a wealthy man. According to Clutch Points, Blake Griffin’s net worth is $110 million. His fortune has allowed him to buy not just one luxurious property but two, as he has recently purchased a neighboring mansion for $5.9 million.
Buying the Neighboring Property in Los Angeles
In early 2020, Blake Griffin bought a stunning property in a gated community in Los Angeles. It seems that he has enjoyed living there, as he has now also bought the neighboring property for $5.9 million. His new property is a five-bedroom, 5.5-bathroom property in Brentwood, Los Angeles, that was built in 1936. The two-story residence has recently been remodeled. While many wealthy people expand their estate by buying a neighboring property, Griffin’s situation is somewhat unusual. His new property does not sit at the side of his main home, as it is located to the rear of the property. It is also not directly connected, as there is a ravine between the grounds of the two properties. Therefore, there is no direct access to his new property from his current home. To access the house and grounds, he must take a long walk across his estate and then cross a steep ravine.
Alternatively, he can drive out of the secure community in which he lives and through Brentwood’s public streets to access his new property from its front entrance. Therefore, it is unknown what his intentions are for the new property. His main property, for which he paid $19.1 million, is a 10,000-square-foot residence. The two-story modern farmhouse has a separate two-bedroom guesthouse, and the grounds boast a large pool with an inset spa. Griffin also owns several more properties, so he is building an excellent real estate portfolio. He has a further three homes in Los Angeles, including a $9 million property in Pacific Palisades, a $2.3 million home in Studio City, and a $4 million Manhattan Beach residence. The latter is currently occupied by Griffin’s ex-fiancée and their two children, while the Studio City property is home to his brother Taylor Griffin, a former basketball player.
Inside Blake Griffin’s New Home
The interior of Blake Griffin’s new home measures 5,893-square-feet. Features that run throughout the home’s interior include hardwood floors and recessed lighting. There is also a theme of bringing the outdoors inside. One of the most impressive rooms in the property is the modern kitchen, which features a range of high-end appliances, such as Bosch, SubZero, and Viking. It also has multicolored granite countertops. One of the main living spaces in the house is the family room, which adjoins the family room. Some of the features of the family room include a cozy fireplace and a bar area. There are sliding glass doors leading out to the back patio to connect the indoor and outdoor spaces. Even with the doors closed, Griffin can enjoy views of the grounds from the family room and kitchen.
A second sitting room offers additional living space, and this is decorated in a traditional manner with neutral walls, hardwood floors, and a large rug. There is also another room that is used for a games room with a full-sized snooker table, a table for card games, dark wood furniture, and a stained-glass window. The master suite is located on the upper floor of the Los Angeles mansion, and the master bedroom is a vast space. While many mansions in Los Angeles boast a walk-in closet in the master suite, there are no less than three walk-in closets at this property. Each has varied storage options to accommodate the clothing of several people. There is also a master bathroom with the master suite. Although it has dated décor, there is a luxurious feel to the bathroom. It has both a glassy shower and a built-in soaking bathtub. The master bathroom is decorated in beige stone.
The Exterior of the Property
Although the property sits on a public street, there is a sense of privacy as it is gated and surrounded by high hedges. From the exterior, the property is a cream-colored and flat-roofed structure, says Dirt.com. There are shuttered windows, and a paved pathway leads to an external porch. The property sits on a plot of almost half an acre of landscaped grounds, and the backyard is on a steep slope. It predominantly consists of a dense forest of evergreen trees and mature eucalyptus trees. There are also grass lawns that are lined with palm trees and other tropical plants. A saltwater outdoor swimming pool is one of the highlights of the grounds, although it is not the only feature for leisure and entertainment on the exterior of the Los Angeles property. There are also patios with broad stone flagging and a covered loggia featuring an outdoor fireplace that is ideal for alfresco dining in all weathers.
