It’s a six-bedroom mansion in a gated community that she purchased in 2010 from the late actress and competitive swimmer, Esther Williams, for a reported $5.9 million. Since owning the home, Handler has done some extensive renovating to create the dream home it is today. Keep reading to find out more about this exquisite retreat in the hills.

About the home

Chelsea says that she spends a lot of time in the home. It’s her sanctuary away from the hustle and bustle of her busy life, and it’s easy to why she would want to spend time here. The surrounding views of nature that you get from inside and out are breathtaking. The floor-to-ceiling windows let all the natural light you could want, into the open floor plan home, along with the very private views of the lush, green hills all around.

The kitchen

The kitchen is a large open room with a long, centrally located island that is designed for preparing food and dining. Multiple bar chairs line the island, giving her plenty of room to seat at least five guests. The industrial grade Viking range and other stainless steel appliances add to the lustrous look of the kitchen’s design, and what a view she has, washing up dishes in the sink that overlooks a private view of forestry green foliage.

Master bedroom

The neutral toned master bedroom is another room with gorgeous views of her private, lush yard of trees and other plants. The bed and sitting chairs face the floor-to-ceiling windows to take in all the views. A large flat-screen TV drops from the beam-lined ceiling when she wants to kick back in her bed, or relax in one of her mid-century looking chairs, to watch some television, maybe even a little Chelsea Lately. On those beautiful warm nights, she can step right outside her bedroom onto the back deck to enjoy her beautiful yard and her in-ground swimming pool.

Master bath

There’s no worries of rubbing elbows with anyone in this master bath. The spacious bathroom has a double sinks with modern fixtures, a large modern garden tub, a make-up vanity, and more amazing views from everywhere in the bathroom. And nothing says spectacular like having your very own sauna, right in your master bath.
