Family room
The family room is a warm and cozy room that boasts lots of neutral tones that work well with the stunning wood planks on the vaulted ceiling and natural wood flooring. The room is arranged for getting good visuals of the beautiful views outside the over-sized windows that are framed in dark trim. Comfortable seating is all around the room, from the matching rolled-shaped chairs to the soft leather seat, and the neutral toned sofa. A beautiful Kiva fireplace sits quaintly in the corner, and it’s just one of the five fireplaces in the house. This cozy family room sits just off the kitchen, making it a great open floor plan for hosting company.
Kitchen
Wood, wood and more wood are in this beautiful kitchen that dons skylights in the wood-planked ceiling to add extra natural light. A smaller sized island sits in the middle of the kitchen and offers more room for preparing food, with the extra sink, and also allows for an eating space that’s great for a late night snack or quick meal. The Viking range and hood really looks regal against the wooden cabinetry and beautiful neutral toned backsplash.
Living room
Here you get a little more formal in the formal living room where you can see a bit of difference in the furniture type. A little more elegant style furniture flows about the large, rectangle room where more large windows take up a large portion of the far wall for more light and more gorgeous views. Another fireplace is found in this room, and although it’s not a Kiva, it is just as quaint and cozy with it’s beautiful wooden mantel.
Master bedroom
The stunning wooden beams that run across the ceiling are in a battle for which is more eye-catching, their undoubtedly beautiful wow! factor, or the large bayed window that overlooks a very picturesque view just outside. The window is the perfect place for a sitting area, not only for the view, but because it sits so close to the quaint Kiva fireplace with the beautiful hearth that adds more color to the room. French doors sit on one end of the room and lead to a patio, and give the room even more natural light, adding a visual appeal of a larger and more open area.
More features
Other features include, updated and remodeled bathrooms, French doors in all the rooms which all the doors lead out to the beautifully landscaped property. She also gets to enjoy a beautiful swimming pool and pool house that has its own family room for relaxing before and after a swim, and a detached, one-bedroom guesthouse to give her company the best accommodations when they come for a visit. Before Winfrey purchased the home, Jeff Bridges needed somewhere to do his art, performing and meditation, which he chose to do in the converted 5,000 square-foot barn that is also on the property. A true gem for Oprah and I’m sure she’s glad she waited to pounce when she knew she’d get a real deal.
