A Look at Elton John’s Art Filled Home in Los Angeles
From Beverly Hills and Atlanta to London and Nice, Elton John has lavish properties all over the world, giving Elton, along with his husband, David Furnish, and their two sons, Zachary (7) and Elijah (5), plenty of places to call home. (They have two houses in the LA area!) However, their Beverly Hills estate is easily one of the family’s favorite properties, having been purchased specifically with the children in mind. While the home is super child-friendly, with rounded corners and easy to clean fabrics, it is also filled with unique artwork and around 6,000 pieces of glass. By the way, the home was decorated by Martyn Lawrence Bullard, who has been named one of the top 100 interior designers by Architectural Digest, and appears on the Bravo TV show, Million Dollar Decorators.
In addition to their Beverly Hills estate, they own a smaller home in the Trousdale Estates neighborhood of Beverly Hills.
Here are 20 photos taken from both of Elton John’s Beverly Hills homes that showcase how the gorgeous homes manage to combine Elton and David’s classy, yet flamboyant and extravagant, style with their son’s need for comfort and plenty of room to play.
Elton and David purchased the almost 3 acre estate in October 2015 from Georges Marciano, the co-founder of Guess?. At that time, the property had been on the market for almost 3 years with an asking price of $54.4 million. After negotiating, Elton’s family paid $37.9 million for the 24,260 sq. ft. home with 10 bedrooms and 22 bathrooms. A guest/pool house, outdoor kitchen, tiled mosaic pool, tennis courts, gardens, and an orchard can also be found on the grounds.
Trousdale Estates sits at the highest point of Beverly Hills. Elton and David picked up this mansion in Trousdale Estates back in 2012 for a mere $7.2 million. This one-story contemporary-style home was built in 1966 and includes 3 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms, as well as a pool and cabana.
