The Dallas Maverick’s sharpshooter is German-born and the team’s, retired, power forward and he has recently purchased a beautiful, 11,394 square foot mansion in the Preston Hollow neighborhood for $5.75 million, according to Realtor. The home was built in 1939, and although many of the architectural details of the era have remained, the home has been given beautiful upgrades, adding a more modern touch to many of the rooms, such as the kitchen. The home offers Nowitzki and his wife, Jessicca, amazing skyline views, a gorgeous pool, and many other amazing features, such as the two master suites, full tennis court, a five-car garage, according to Industry Soup.
Entryway
You can sense the elegance of the home from the minute you enter, from the arched doorway that leads from the door to the foyer, to the elegant stairway that expands at the base and it’s elegant hand railing, and the rich hardwood flooring. The late architectural details are seen in the room, including in the tile pattern of the entry and the carpet design of the stairwell. Yellow walls paired with sleek recessed lighting helps to brighten the room where natural light might not be enough for the space. The decorative wall trim adds character and elegance to the entry way, especially around the arched door and entry.
Living room
The living room sits just off the entryway and leads you into the solarium. The large room with hardwoods throughout, boasts a vintage look with its detailed patter and it pairs well with the emerald green walls and built-in book shelf units. The detailed architecture around the room, from the trim to the panels on the wall keep the eyes scanning for more beautiful details. There’s plenty of space to create seating areas in the room, from the bayed area with floor-to-ceiling windows where you can take in the beautiful views of the property, or perhaps, relax in front of the fireplace that sits on the wall opposite of the large bookshelf. It’s a large, majestic-feeling room, yet radiates warmth and coziness just by the rich color schemed that was chosen.
Kitchen
The commercial grade kitchen is a beautiful design of neutral tones; creamy yellow, white, and dark green, from the tiled back splash areas to the beautiful forest green island. Stainless steel appliances are all around the room, from the stainless steel double ovens, stove and range-hood, dishwasher and more. A large island with a separate sink add lots of extra counter space, storage, and space for more usable appliances, and the beautifully designed light fixture above creates a stunning focal point for the room. The large kitchen also features a large butler pantry for ample food storage.
Solarium
What a great room to spend some time bathing in the sun, without dealing with the elements outside. The number of windows that surround the room let in enormous amounts of natural light, not to mention the windows above. The ceiling gives the room a unique look and feel with its detailed architectural design, while the mixed patterned tiled floor adds a vintage look and feel. The views through the windows are breathtaking, making this a great room to spend time in, relaxing and revitalizing.
Swimming pool
The swimming pool is gorgeous, from its design, to the patio surrounding it, to the stunning pool house that boasts am indoor lap pool and multiple sets of French doors, pillars, and a beautiful pergola. There’s plenty of room for lounging around the pool with friends and family, or hosting a pool party. The pool adds an elegant look to the grounds and entire estate, and is probably a great selling point for the home.
