When Chrishell Stause and Justin Hartley wed in October 2017, she must have hoped the vows exchanged on the wedding day would be for keeps. Unfortunately, despite making the occasion as memorable as possible by even going as far as to celebrate it in Malibu, the lovebirds divorced after only two years of marriage. By then, they had bought a six-bedroom house in Los Angeles worth $4.65 million, which Stause had to give up after the separation. The divorce was finalized in January 2021, allowing the actress to make more permanent decisions. One of the significant moves was Chrishell Stause buying a $3.3 million Hollywood Hills home, and here are the details.

She Was Already Living In Hollywood Hills

After her separation from Hartley, Stause found the ideal bachelorette pad in Hollywood Hills. As reported by People Magazine, the house was furnished, and the actress fell in love with it. However, it took a long time to transform it into her own space through redecoration. Perhaps the failed marriage had her thinking that redecorating would be making it permanent, yet it was only a rental. She healed her wounds and, in March 2021, decided her rental house was worth getting a facelift by adding a touch of her personality. The pandemic prompted the decision because being cramped up in a space she was not excited about was not doing her any good. She enlisted the help of two departmental stores, TJ Maxx and Marshalls, in the hopes of transforming the bachelorette pad into her dream house. Her main focus was giving the place a feminine touch, so she went for warm metallic accents such as gold and soft blush tones. Still, she hoped that her co-star, interior designer, Amanza Smith, would approve of the changes. She remembered that Smith did not like the chandelier when she visited Stause’s house, but even after the facelift, that chandelier was not discarded.

Making Hollywood Hills Her Permanent Home

Whether Smith got to visit her co-star’s redecorated house and give her stamp of approval no longer matters. Stause has given up the rental for her own house; the actress fell in love with Hollywood Hills for the almost two years she has been living there thus settled on buying property there. The actress could not hide her joy and announced on social media about the sale and even had a housewarming party. Of course, on the guest list was Smith, whose opinion Stause values; other notable guests were Brett Oppenheim and Jason Oppenheim. After a dramatic split from “Dancing with Stars” star Keo Motsepe, Stause decided to quit dating and focus on herself. The reevaluation of her life has resulted in the actress keeping herself busy with real estate. It appears that the $3.3 million property is her first, and she used her bargaining power to get it for $100,000 less than the asking price; the four-bedroom had initially been listed for almost $4 million in October 2020, and later $3.4 million.

The master bedroom comprises a steam shower and soaking tub, while one of the other bedrooms opens up to the swimming pool. The house comes with an office, also opening up to the pool area. She Represented Herself in the Deal

Landing such a magnificent property was all Stause’s doing because she represented herself and is not letting anyone undermine her efforts. According to ET, some media outlets published that Jason Oppenheim was the agent behind the sale. He got to see the press articles and felt it was unfair for Stause not to get credit. Therefore, even when the actress made it clear that she was her own agent and Oppenheim only brokered the deal, Oppenheim understood Stause’s frustration. Some people did not understand why Stause was making a big deal from the false reports reasoning the only thing that matters was she bought the house.

However, Stause said that anyone reporting on her house purchase should get the details right and always fact-check. She added that she had worked exceptionally hard to get the property, and seeing others dismiss her efforts was annoying. Besides, it was her chance to sell herself as a real estate agent, and the false reports were only disregarding her qualifications. It is not the first time that people doubted she is a qualified real estate agent. According to Cosmopolitan, “Selling Sunset” audience thought that Stause was introduced to cause drama in the real estate agent group. The fact that she is known as a soap opera actress did not help her case. However, she disclosed she had been an agent going as far back as 2016 when she posted on social media for fans to contact her if they needed a realtor.
