Madonna Dished Out $19.3 Million on Hidden Hills Estate
Not only is Madonna one of the best-selling and most successful female artists of all time, but she is also one of the longest-standing. Even in her 60s, she is still churning out hits, influencing fashion, and making an impact on social media. One of her most recent music projects was her 14th studio album, ‘Madame X,’ which was released in 2019. She is currently working on a biopic about her life, which she co-wrote with Diablo Cody, and she is set to direct the movie. According to Forbes, Madonna’s net worth now exceeds $1.2 billion. One way that she spends her fortune is by buying homes in multiple locations across the globe. She already has homes in New York City, the Hamptons, and Lisbon in Portugal.
Her triple-wide townhouse in the Upper East Side in Manhattan cost her $32 million, while her horse farm in the Hamptons spans more than 30-acres. Madonna spent a further $9 million on an 18th-century Moorish Revival mansion just outside Lisbon. Although she spends most of her time on the East Coast of America, Madonna began spending more time in Los Angeles during the Covid-19 quarantines. During that time, she was staying in a luxurious rented estate in the Coldwater Canyon area of Beverley Hills. In the past, Madonna has owned properties in both Hollywood Hills and Beverley Hills. After spending time in Los Angeles over the last year, the singer began searching for a property that she could call home. Dirt.com says that Madonna has now bought a new home in the Hidden Hill area, which is a popular place for celebrities, and she has paid $19.3 million for the expansive estate.
An Overview of Madonna’s Real Estate Purchase
Madonna bought the Hidden Hills estate from the Weeknd earlier this year. The Weeknd bought the property for $18.2 million in 2017 when it was a brand-new house. When he first listed the house for sale, it had a price tag of $25 million. However, he later dropped the price to $22 million, although Madonna bought it for the lower price of $19.3 million. The house is in the celebrity-filled Hidden Hills area of Los Angeles. Just some of the celebrities living in neighboring properties include several members of the Kardashian family, Jeffree Star, Drake, Dwayne Wade, John Stamos, and Lori Loughlin. It measures 12,500-square-feet internally. Therefore, there is plenty of room for Madonna and her six children to spread out. There is a seven-bedroomed main house and a guest house with two bedrooms, and there are 9.5-bathrooms between the two structures.
Inside Madonna’s Hidden Hills Home
The double-height foyer in the main house is decorated in a contemporary style with wooden floors and white walls. It sets the tone for the rest of the property, as this is a style that runs throughout the house. The foyer has a staircase leading to the second floor, and there is a balcony overlooking the foyer. Sitting below the staircase is a baby piano next to floor-to-ceiling windows. Directly ahead of the foyer is the main living room, which leads out to the rear garden. To the left of the foyer is a formal dining room with an eight-seater dining table, although it could comfortably accommodate even more diners. In an alcove off the dining room is a walk-in wine room that is illuminated with LED lighting. One of the most impressive rooms on the lower floor of this house is the kitchen. Lining the walls is white cabinetry and gray marble countertops. To the center of the room are two huge islands, both of which have black cabinets and gray stone waterfall countertops. There are wooden floors, white walls, and high-end in-built appliances.
A breakfast nook is connected to the kitchen, and this provides an informal dining space for Madonna and her children. From the kitchen and breakfast nook, a large family room opens out to a heated loggia, giving the property a sense of bringing the outdoors in. Other rooms on the property’s ground floor include a staff wing, a spacious guest suite, a media lounge, a gym, and a home office with a black marble fireplace. There are seven bedrooms in the main house, and the master suite has its own wing on the second floor of the property. The bedroom has a polished stone wall with a fireplace and display shelves on either side that are lit with LED lights. There is a lavishly appointed bathroom and two walk-in closets with fitted shelves and cabinetry. The master suite also boasts a private balcony overlooking the garden.
The Grounds of Madonna’s New Hidden Hills Estate
To the front of the stunning property, there is a gated drive leading to a large motor court. Further secure parking is available in the five-car garage, with spaces defined by LED lighting. The property is set on a 2.94-acre lot, and most of the grounds are to the property’s rear. These consist of lawns, formal gardens, amenities for leisure, and various dining and entertaining spaces. A terraced area runs along the back of the property, with various areas for dining and entertaining. There is then a section of lawn, then the large, zero-edge swimming pool. On the other side of the pool is the open-air pavilion, which has an outdoor kitchen and a fireplace. Behind the pool house is an elevated section of the grounds leading up the hillside. There is a further shaded terrace in this section, and this sits alongside a full-sized basketball court. There is also a guesthouse with two good-sized bedrooms within the grounds, so there is space for friends and family to stay without invading Madonna’s privacy in the main house. A horse barn has been converted to provide additional living space, and this has many potential uses.
