The Yingst Retreat Residence Welcomes Nature Inside

Yingst-Retreat-1

If you’re the kind of person that loves the great outdoors and appreciates the presence of natural surroundings more than anything else when it comes to building a home, you’re sure going to like the Yingst Retreat residence from Michigan, USA. It was designed by Salmela Architect and mirrors the visions and ideas of the owners, which now see their dream come true when looking at their lovely home.

The residence rests on a green surrounded spot, near the lake, having the forest embrace its little corner of privacy. It has a surface of 4,000 square feet of living spaces and sits among tall beech trees, blending in with them through its design, which consists in materials such as wood, bricks and glass. The main house is accompanied by four other volumes that serve the purposes of a garage. On the inside, wooden elements add up to the warmth of the place, which receives the natural environment inside through its floor to ceiling windows. The earthy colors from the inside match with the exterior of the house, bringing nature closer inside this elegant and very cozy nest.
