Waldfogel Residence Displays Contemporary Sophistication

Waldfogel Residence by Ehrlich Architects is a contemporary home projected for some sophisticated clients who wanted their house to display their passion for art and, implicitly, their art collection. Located in Palo Alto, California, on a half acre site, this 8,000 square feet house is everything the owners pictured and even more.

The architecture with geometric volumes reveals two floors, with the living room, husband’s study room, kitchen and family room opening to the garden and pool at the ground level and master bedroom, wife’s study room, children and guest bedrooms at the upper level. A double height ceiling we find in the dining room, at the entrance court, but each room feels airy, especially with all the light coming in through floor to ceiling windows.

All over the house, in decoration enters ceramic pieces from the owner’s collection, integrating just perfect with the chromatic and the style of the design.
