Villa Colani Or The 24 Carat Gold House

As the title suggests, Villa Colani, completed in 2009 and located in Majorca, Spain, is covered in 24 carat gold. The remote controlled appliances, the security system, curtains and even the swimming pool are covered in gold, making the 1,230 square foot villa the ultimate dream in terms of opulence.

In order to fit with the metallic appearance given by the gold insertions, the façade is colored in a yellow that resembles with the precious metal. Out there, on the terraces, several swimming pools are seemingly melting in to the Mediterranean Sea. Statues, columns and other detailed elements can be counted in to the abundant display of luxury.

As for the interior, that leaves us completely speechless, because gold seems to be everywhere. Few are the color accents that contrast the gold color in every room, such as red and black, but they only emphasize the richness even more.
