Trevox 223 By CRAFT Arquitectos Reflects The Mexican Exoticism

Mexican exoticism combined with a strong contemporary approach makes Trevox 223 by CRAFT Arquitectos rise above any other residences. Completed in 2010, this house is the beautiful interpretation of an existing space, build more than 40 years ago.

Taking everything towards a new more modern and sleek direction, the house turned out to be a success, although there were many issues the architects needed to deal with. Some of these issues were the lack of privacy, excessive noise and the south facing of the house which makes it overheat during the summer.

One of the main thinks that were done was creating a transition between the public and private spaces, without disturbing the balance between them, but trying to solve some of the problems that were disturbing the environment, at the same time.

The double façade design came as one of the solutions. Allowing views to the exterior but blocking the view to the interior, the privacy factor achieved. Also, square windows let the air circulate, helping to set a more comfortable temperature for the interior.
