Mountains, oceans, luxuriant vegetation and flora – it’s an incredible mix of different natural elements and some regions seem to be lucky to have just one. Well, Cape Town gathers all these together into a stunning picture, where architecture makes its way through nature very imposing, without ruining the original landscape, though.
We have here today an exquisite project from Antonio Zaninovic Architects, reflecting the exact thing I was pointing out above. The Newlands House fits into a dreamy scenario, with a modern architecture held by the mountains in the background. And the contemporary look of the inside is beautifully complimented by the unveiled raw nature, framed through the floor-to-ceiling windows that needed to be shown off.
Few details have been set outside, as the nature has had it all from the beginning. The swimming pool is the single major impact in here, with thick mature trees making a perfect border around it.
