Punktchen – Warm Family Home In Germany

Punktchen is a project by Braun & Guth Architekten, located in Frankfurt, Germany. The house dates from the 19th century and it was completely renovated. Trying to keep some of its neoclassic characteristics, the entire home is an exemple of how well simplicity works.

At the last third level of the building, a living space gathers nothing but a spacious and cozy grey couch. Two walls were replaced with glass and two were covered in wood, which creates a very warm atmosphere, making anyone feel like at home.

There are three kid’s bedrooms, each having similar layouts, but something distinct that would differentiate them on from another. The pops of color in there are the walls and the carpet, plus the specific toys. Beds and storage areas are well masked in wood, making the rooms feel more like playgrounds, than bedrooms where the kids take their naps.
