Offset House is a project by Shieh Arquitetos Associados completed in 2012 in Sao Polo Brazil. The first thing that hits you is the incredibly weird shape, very angular and apparently following no usual logic. It is structured on two levels plus a rooftop with an open terrace.
The ground level hosts the garage, a TV room, the kitchen, living room and dining area, continuing with an open deck and a beautiful garden with exotic trees. Nature is an important element in here, so that’s why the deck was build around that mature tree imposing through its size and spared from cutting it down.
The second floor is restricted to the private areas, having three bedrooms and an open space to below. In terms of design, it’s modern all the way, with neutral warm tones consisting in whites, beiges and browns predominating, matching the lovely weather outside.
