The Merricks House Befriends Nature

titlu1

Robson Rak Architects have recently designed the Merricks House, a beautiful residence for a single family from Victoria, Australia. The customers requested a rectangular structure that consisted in symmetrical, simple spaces, but the team of architects came with a better idea and the final result is a cheerful contemporary living place which brings joy and comfort to its satisfied inhabitants. Following the natural shapes of the spot, the home features two levels and three zones dedicated to different activities. The parents and children have their own areas and in the center stand the kitchen, dining and living room. The rooms are very spacious and feature a natural color palette which makes the inside look warm and welcoming.

The home has a strong connection with nature, as it features large glass openings which allow a lot of natural light to enter and play around and also offer the pleasure of admiring the beautiful landscape. The outside pool and a chic terrace are dedicated to offering some great moments of relaxation. Also, the structure has been built from materials such as rammed earth, glass and timber, making it thermally efficient and very durable.
