Living on the edge is literally happening everyday in the House Holman. Durbach Block Architects have designed in 2004 this unique residence located in Sydney, Australia, right on the edge of a cliff measuring 230 feet height. Having the ocean unfolded before the inhabitants’ eyes, the architects exploited the landscape advantage by changing the traditional architecture surrounded by concrete walls with a modern one, focused on transparency.

Floor to ceiling windows offer unobstructed views to the breathtaking surroundings and even the shape of House Holman, with defined curves and cantilever living and dining room, makes any viewer aware of the stunning natural potential. This way, the large interior rooms did not need a complex layout, opting for simplicity and letting the nature add its special signature on this project. And with the modern indoor spaces and the outdoor terraces the luxuriant feeling is completed.
