The Island Retreat Overlooking The Hauraki Bay

Fearon Hay Architects are responsible for this incredible island retreat residence, located on the Waiheke Island. Not only that the landscape is incredibly beautiful, but the house also is a perfect place to relax. Comfort comes first and that is easy to see. The large leather couch in the living room, with the burning fireplace sets a calming mood, inviting to resting.

Because of the transparent glass walls that surround the whole residence, sometimes it is hard to realize that what we see it’s more than just an outdoor pavilion and that it’s a real house. But that is an advantage, as the Hauraki Bay in the horizon adds even more beauty to the picture framed by the enormous glass walls. And as the place is a little isolated, with no other constructions nearby, the concrete addition to the natural environment makes an interesting contrast.
