Designed by Dan Brunn, the renovation of the Hayvenhurst House tried to create the perfect balance between price, speed and quality. The house is situated in Encino, California, United States and was renovated last year, in 2010. its restyle lasted only 6 months. The house is also offering a small pension for clients.
Now the house has an open floor, rotating around an existing fireplace. Most of the dividing walls were removed to increase space of movement, lighting and air circulation. With the free plan the family who lives there can open multiple windows pivot on one side of the house and sliding windows in the living room, enjoying the refreshing breeze without the need of air conditioning in the summer months.
For each portion of the house, the proportions and characteristics change to fit the space, maintaining a consistent image, the unit refers the space into one and gives an appearance of grandeur. The expansive island kitchen is also a key element anchored to the fireplace, always accessible for use and entertainment.
