A Gorgeous Residence In The Mountains: The Yatsugatake House From Japan

Yatsugatake-House-1

I am in awe, as I am looking at the stunningly beautiful Yatsugatake House, designed and built by the Kidosaki Architects Studio. I am a long time fan of Japanese culture, but this residence vexed me in a deep way.  Located in the majestic  Nagano area in Japan, in the Yatsugatake Mountains, this impressive residence was designed with tranquility in mind and features a minimalist yet strikingly beautiful design. Just like a Japanese Katana sword, this house is so simple and yet so perfect, sitting in a picturesque landscape and blending perfectly with its surroundings. The house sits on a sloping mountain ridge, at the base of Yatsugatake Mountains and the view that it offers to its inhabitants  is simply breathtaking. The owner spent a considerable amount of time in locating the perfect spot for the house, and it achieved its goal with flying colors. The house is build from marble and concrete, looking like a reflection of its surroundings. The interior is sober and minimalist in design, with wooden floors and large windows, providing for an excellent retreat from the crazy city life in the modern day Japan.
