Expect The Unexpected In This Contemporary Church Apartment

From the outside, you’d think it’s just a church. But the top two floors of this Wesbourne Groove Church were transformed in a very modern apartment. What it used to be a London Baptist Church, dating from 1853, it is today a beautiful living space, full of contemporary elements, meant to embellish the place.

The interior is quite daring, the white of the walls being broken by the pink contrasts from the furniture. Not only that this looks so 2012, but it definitely gives a certain elegancy. DOS Architects opted for simplicity, with key items to make it special. The floor-to-ceiling windows offer so much natural light a beautiful view, that can be contemplated from the special window seats, so comfortable thanks to the soft pillows.

The connection between the two floors is made through a transparent staircase, which is impressive. Upstairs, the bedroom gives a total new definition of intimacy and privacy, as the bathtub is hosted here and the bathroom revealing the sinks, being surrounded by glass walls.
