The Depot House By Gray Organschi Architecture

Depot-House-1

If you’re a fan of Home Depot, you’ll absolutely love the Depot Home. I’m just kidding folks, but only partially, because this modern residence looks very interesting, in terms of design. The  Depot House is located on the former location of a train depot, hence its name. Designed and built by Gray Organschi Architecture, this contemporary home is located in the Shepaug River Valley Railroad, running along the River Bantam. On this piece of real estate, the architects built two rectangular structures that are positioned  perpendicularly on each other and this choice of design gave birth to a large space between them, that looks just like neighboring barns, a kind of homage to the region’s agricultural heritage. The house is located near the Bantam River and the view of the quiet landscape from inside the home is breathtaking. The interior of the residence is lined with pine wood and the rooms are overlapped, creating a sensation of space and relaxation. The structure was built in complete harmony with its surroundings and the materials used in its construction are natural, wood and stone, providing for a perfect weekend home.
