Chair House Offers A Cozy Backdrop In A Harsh Environment

On a rocky ocean coast, architect Igor Sirotov has designed and decorated the Chair House. It was built of concrete and stone and it seems to be perfectly integrated into the severe surroundings. The interior inspires a lot of coziness, although the walls have been painted in dark colors. But this seems reasonable, thinking about the amount of natural light coming in through large windows and, also, skylights.

There are few accents to break the grey monotony that takes over the house. The blue couch in the living room or the light wood accents for the kitchen and dining area soften the whole picture. Going down on the exterior staircase, we reach the living room, which is lit from above. Being placed a little bit higher, the bedroom is directly exposed to the harsh nature outside. Floor to ceiling windows offer unlimited views over the ocean.
