The Island House Enjoys Lovely Surroundings And A Cheerful Design

Island-House-5

An island of Sweden’s Stockholm Archipelago is the location of a lovely home designed by the team from WRB Architects. The waterfront residence is known as the Island House and enjoys the pleasures offered by its natural environment: fresh air and some astonishing panoramic views over the landscape.
The house is a combination between traditional and modern elements, being dominated by a rich use of wood that blends in nicely with the surrounding oak trees and pines. On the other hand, the straight, clean lines and the floor to ceiling windows remind us that this home is still a modern one. The interior is extremely warm and welcoming – or at least, that’s what I think of it – having an open plan design that brings the wood-dominated interior closer to the rich greenery that surrounds it, thus establishing a close connection between the environment and the inside activities.
