A Home Above The Forest: The Flotanta House

Flotanta-House-1

The Flotanta House is an impressive residential project that captured my attention with its amazing appearance and ingenious design. It wears the fingerprint of Benjamin Garcia Saxe Architecture and is located in a gorgeous, exotic place: Puntarenas Canton from Costa Rica. The residence reminds me of a tree house, as it stands on several pillars, being elevated above the ground.

In this way, the natural vegetation isn’t bothered for a bit and the home blends in beautifully with its surroundings through the rich use of natural materials (especially wood). The open plan design brings nature even closer and reveals some outstanding views over the ocean and exotic landscape, which offer the home’s inhabitants a gorgeous environment to live in. Seriously, this must be a dream location for anyone who appreciates and admires our Mother Nature.
