Another Frech frenzy is shown in front of our eyes due to a SO-AN, architecture & interior design studio, starring an imposing apartment on Rue de Rivoli, Paris. Black and white contrast is the first revelation of it. As if the ceiling height of 4.45 meter wasn’t enough, the white paint enlightens the interior, creating an illusion of an even bigger space. The black accents on the furniture give elegance and the grand mirrors hanging on the walls expose sophistication.
Art took an important part in redesigning this apartment. Everywhere we’re hit with collection pieces, from the leather gaming table, wall lighting to the smallest decoration objects. To preserve some of the old history of what this used to be an office space, the original wood flooring and details have been kept.
Kitchen is the middle of the home, offering a good transition between its main purpose and the whole theme invading the apartment. And I left the best at last. The masterpiece is the bathroom, continuing the luxurious contrast of black and white. Discovered shower, a bathtub bordered with a day bed and shiny marble all over the place make this bathroom the ultimate experience our exploration.
