A Dream Home In A Lovely Location: The Courtyard House

Courtyard-House-11

The team from DeForest Architects have completed numerous residential projects in Seattle, Washington, USA, but none are more well known than “The Courtyard House.”  The main purpose when building it was to follow the customer’s request of having a home that would blend in with its natural surroundings.  It succeeded admirably.

The waterfront residence looks upon Mount Rainier and offers some beautiful views that any nature lover would admire. The open plan design and floor to ceiling windows are the most important elements that contribute to the whole idea of bringing nature inside. The rich use of wood is also dominant, adding a warm touch to the interiors through the oak and walnut cabinets, limestone floor and fir ceiling.

The living spaces are large and cozy, offering a beautiful view to the inhabitants as they sit comfortable and enjoy their stylish interior which is embraced by a gorgeous landscape.
